During the event, visitors will have the chance to watch an excerpt from the documentary film "Kyiv Fortified Region: Modern History of Defense." This film narrates the tragic events that occurred near Kyiv in February and March 2022 when Ukrainian defenders bravely held back the russian offensive. Filming began in May 2022, immediately following the liberation of the Kyiv region from occupying forces.
The project’s creators will discuss the unique aspects of utilizing the former Kyiv Fortified Region during the russian-Ukrainian war. They will draw historical parallels with the defense of the Ukrainian capital during World War II and share their experiences working on the documentary. Invited military experts will provide commentary on the footage, helping the audience understand the significance of defensive fortifications during the war.
