Observation Platforms

“Shield” – 91.0 m

This unique platform ensures an unforgettable experience not just from enjoying the city’s skyline but also from the extreme ascent.

The ascent involves physical activity, so sports shoes and comfortable clothing are required. Available for visitors 18 years of age and older.

The cost of the ascent is 500 UAH per person.

“Pedestal” – 36.6 m

The observation platform is located around the foot of the sculpture. Two military binoculars with a 30x optical zoom are installed on the eastern and western sides, through which visitors can admire the views of Kyiv.

The deck is available for visitors from the age of 6.

Exhibition of military equipment and weapons

Exhibition of the Military Vehicles

More than 60 samples of military equipment and weapons of the twentieth century are presented in the open area of the Memorial Complex. The models cover the period from the early 1930s to the 1970s.

Li-2 Airplane

The Li-2 (NATO classification—Cab) is a military version of the PS-84 transport aircraft, a Soviet copy of the American Douglas DC-3. It has been produced in the USSR since 1942. During the Second World War, the Li-2 was used for various purposes, such as managing landing operations, transporting supplies, evacuating the wounded, and transporting official delegations.

The museum provides an opportunity to visit the inside of the Li-2 airplane.

MiG-23 Fighter Aircraft

The MiG-23 (NATO classification—Flogger) is a combat vehicle designed to destroy air and ground targets. Its first flight took place in 1967. The aircraft is equipped with a range of armaments, including missiles, rapid-fire cannons, and air bombs. It was used in the USSR and deployed in other countries of the "socialist camp." However, today, the MiG-23 is largely out of service. The museum offers the opportunity to explore the interior of the MiG-23 fighter.

Mi-24 Helicopter

The Mi-24 (NATO classification—Hind, slang—"Crocodile") is an attack helicopter developed in the USSR during the late 1960s and early 1970s. Different versions of the Mi-24 were extensively used in warfare by both Ukrainian and opposing forces. The museum offers visitors the chance to explore the interior of a Mi-24 helicopter.
