Opening of the Exhibition “OMEGA: ACROSS THE SKY, THE LAND, AND THE SEA”

The War Museum held the opening of the exhibition project “OMEGA: ACROSS THE SKY, THE LAND, AND THE SEA,” created by the Museum team in cooperation with the Special Operations Center “Omega.”

The exhibition tells the story of the combat path and unique operations of those who carry out the most complex missions every day to defend Ukraine. Its aim is to introduce visitors to the work of Omega’s special operators.

The opening was attended by Major General Oleksandr Pivnenko, Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine; Brigadier General Valentyn Ostryzhnyi, Deputy Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine for Personnel; Major General Pavlo Yatsiuk, Head of the Special Operations Center “Omega”; and Yurii Savchuk, Director General of the War Museum.

During the event, servicemembers were presented with state, departmental, and honorary awards for courage, professionalism, and dedicated service to Ukraine. The winners of internal sniper competitions held among the servicemembers of the Special Operations Center “Omega” were also recognized. The team of the National Museum of the History of Ukraine in the Second World War received a Certificate of Appreciation for fruitful cooperation and the implementation of the joint project.

The ceremony concluded with a performance by singer Okhtyrchanka, who performed a song dedicated to the Omega special operations unit.

The exhibition will run until August.
