PETRO BOHDAN: FAITHFUL TO THE OATH

Commemorative Events / Events / 26 April 2026

On April 26, 2026, at 3:00 PM, the War Museum will host a public event dedicated to the life and service of Petro Bohdan (1980–2024) – a member of Plast, senior lieutenant, and head of the battalion medical station of the 44th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

His relatives and close ones will speak about his path from Plast upbringing to military service. They will share personal memories and donate materials to the Museum’s collection.

Special attention will also be given to the stories of other Plast members who stood in defense of Ukraine during the ongoing russian-Ukrainian War. Today, more than 500 Plast members serve in the Defense Forces of Ukraine. More than 50 of them have been killed, remaining faithful to their oath.

The Museum’s collections preserve materials about Plast members Yevhen Podolianchuk, Dmytro Pashchuk, and Viktor Hurniak. Their life stories will be presented during the event.

Participants: Petro Bohdan’s family and close ones.

Moderator: Museum researcher Liubov Krupnyk.

Plast members, Museum visitors, and all interested persons are invited.
