On 7 June 2026 at 13:00, a commemorative event will take place at the Museum to mark the anniversary of the death of Pavlo Yezhor, Andrii Remennyi, and Danylo Skadin, employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, who lost their lives while performing their official duties.
The tragic events took place on the night of 6 June 2025, when the russian federation once again attacked Ukraine from the air. In terms of scale, the strike was among the most massive at that time. The enemy deployed 407 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types and 44 ballistic and cruise missiles. The attack targeted Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast, as well as Kharkiv, Poltava, Chernihiv, Rivne, Khmelnytskyi, Volyn, Lviv, and Ternopil oblasts.
In total, up to thirty people were injured in the capital, including nine employees of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. Three firefighters of the 18th State Fire and Rescue Unit of Kyiv — Pavlo Yezhor, Andrii Remennyi, and Danylo Skadin — who were responding to the aftermath of enemy strikes in the Solomianskyi District, were killed. Their lives were cut short in an instant when russian forces carried out a repeated UAV strike on the rescuers at 04:35.
Family members, friends, and colleagues will gather to remember these courageous men who, despite the danger, were always the first to come to the rescue and stood by others in the most critical moments.
The meeting will be moderated by Hanna Lehkokonets, Head of one of the Museum’s sectors.
We invite you to join the event and honour humanity, dignity, and lives dedicated to saving others.
