The event explores little-known facts about World War II. It will highlight the stories of ethnic Ukrainians who took part in the assault on the Normandy coast on 6 June 1944, serving in the U.S. and Canadian armies.
Through personal stories, archival photographs, and memoirs, we will explore the lives of our fellow countrymen who fought alongside the Western Allies and contributed to the defeat of Nazism. The lecture will also feature examples of weapons used by the Allies during Operation Overlord.
This is a unique opportunity to see the global dimension of the Ukrainian contribution to the victory over tyranny. Join us!
