Our museum masterclasses evoke a vibrant palette of emotions in children!
Recently, students from the Kyiv Gymnasium “Spilnashkola” (“Community School”) visited us. They participated in a museum animation workshop led by designer Danyil Pinko.
The students were inspired to choose the theme and plot for their animated video by a story told by our guide, Alla Hrushetska. She introduced the children to the stories of foreign fighters who joined the defense of Ukraine—the heroes of the exhibition “FOR FREEDOM”. Among them was the American of Ukrainian descent, Edward Wilton III, who gave his life fighting for Ukraine in 2023.
The children were keenly interested in studying a special artifact connected to the memory of Edward—a memorial quilt created by the warrior’s family as a sign of their love for him. This custom exists in the USA as a way to express warm feelings and preserve the memory of those who are gone.
In the process of creating images, drawings, and videos, our young guests discovered the behind-the-scenes world of animation while simultaneously expressing gratitude and respect to all the defenders of Ukraine.
We invite you to participate in our museum workshops as well.
